What I Know Now That I Didn’t Know Then

Working hard and being honest doesn’t make you rich, it just makes you tired.

You are not going to understand the things your spouse does, thinks, buys, says, believes, etc.

You can’t do anything about the weather.

Cussing and stomping won’t make something work.

You can’t get “All” of a grilled cheese sandwich out of a VCR

Considering divorce over a bad batch of gravy is not rational.

Make sure the car has gas before you lay on hot asphalt for two hours installing a fuel pump.

If you have to stop by the side of the road for your two year old daughter, there is no way to hold her that she won’t pee on you.

Keep silverware and diamond rings away from toddlers. They love to throw things in the trash.

Time passes a lot faster than you think. Enjoy the moment.

Keep in touch. Don’t let good friends slip away.

Most things don’t matter

  1. This is devistating....I always thought everything in our house WAS fixed by cussing and stomping! I didn't know there were other factors involved!! I have to rethink all my processes now!

  2. Spoken with the true wisdom that you have. What a gift with words. Now I know where your daughter gets it from.
