Can you believe this lucky lady has had me all to herself for more than 40 years? Doesn’t seem fair to all the other ladies does it? Seriously, we haven’t spent much time traveling on life’s superhighways. Most of the journey has been stomping through the underbrush and the swamps. But wherever we were on the journey, she was always there, just as scratched, bruised, and bug bitten as I was. But she never complained.
Of course I love her. Of course I’ve always loved her. But more than that I admire, respect, and trust her in a way I don’ think I would have if we had traveled first class..
I remember when everyone considered her a stunning beauty. Well time leaves it’s mark and not everyone may think that now. But I still do.
For many years she proudly earned and wore the title "Mother”. Now she has been promoted to “Nana”
Thank you Nana for taking such good care of all of us.
I. Am so lucky to have a father who loves my mother so much after all those years! The most important thing a father can do for his children is to love their mother and my dad is unmatched in that area. It has always been a source of pride that my parents are still married and still love each other. I pray every day that I will be able to give that same sense of pride a d security to my own sweet boys! Thanks Dad!
ReplyDeleteI second that opinion!! What an example you are setting for us all. It is such a comfort to know your parents will always be together and love each other. What a blessing you BOTH are.
ReplyDeleteYou both are great people and I am so proud that you have both been in my life. I am greatly thankful to have such wonderful and devoted people around me that are willing to do anything for their family, friends, and each other. You to are very special people and I love you both so much.
